There have been a few divine junctures in my life when I’ve circled up with myself + my spiritual BOD only to realize that I was not, in fact, making myself proud with the way my life was going down.🙏🏻

I knew things I couldn’t unknow. I was hyper aware of the misalignment all around me, yet, I was too afraid to take the action my life was asking of me.

.
In one especially tender chapter back in my late 20s, I sat on the rocks overlooking the ocean, the brisk late summer breeze wrapped itself around me as I looked at a photo of my former self.✨
.
.
I asked her, “If I stay, would I be making your proud?” The answer....a resounding + clear NO.
.
.
That moment moved me in the direction of the life I am living today. The dots connected weaving me closer to living this mantra out every day + in every moment - even the difficult ones.
.
.
What if instead of setting a standard of making everyone else proud of us, we made ourselves proud first...💓

I cleared the schedule today. 💫In the wee hours, we packed the fam up for a day trip + I’m sitting in the spaciousness of my own thoughts, beating heart and precious hours to dance + design + do anything I want without interruption.💓

Moments like this one are few + far between and also not something I give myself permission to ask for enough.

Instead, I hold myself in bondage with email + notifications + obligation.
.
.

and here we go!!!! Today was the groundbreaking on our home expansion project. happy tears + open palms as we embark on this journey. ✨🏡

Teaching our girl about money has been an amazing opportunity to get real about what’s going on with our own money mindsets.💸

.
On Friday she woke up with the brilliant idea to make her own lemonade stand 🍋✨and before I knew it, she and @benlilyestrom were off to the store for lemons.
.
.
After I wrapped a day of calls, we took to the neighborhoods of our loved ones (dirt roads with 2 neighbors are not ideal for roadside sales) thank you @lizawitonis 💓
.
.
She came home with coins + a newfound appreciation for entrepreneurship...she’s now working for her first allowance + saving up for her dream doll.

.
The last 4 years have been a TOTAL transformation over here as it relates to our money mindset...going from
